The world's first "Twin Towers and One Machine" solar thermal energy storage power station and the first artificial chamber compressed air energy storage project have been completed and put into operation. Changle Power Plant has become the largest one million kilowatt peak shaving thermal power plant in China. The Jiu'e Railway and Liuhong Railway have been put into operation. Jiayuguan Jiuquan Airport has been expanded, and 21 national and provincial roads totaling 1211 kilometers have been built. Livelihood water conservancy projects such as Shule River diversion have been completed and put into use. During the "14th Five Year Plan" period, Jiuquan City implemented 3150 key projects of all kinds, with an average annual growth of 10.5% in fixed assets investment.
Jiuquan Vocational and Technical University has successfully upgraded to a bachelor's degree, established 35 schools in five years, and successfully implemented two "national level" projects, namely the reform and high-quality development of national regional medical centers and public hospitals.
