Shandong Qifu breaks through the international monopoly of high-end fluorine-containing materials

Industry News
The high-end fluorine-containing materials field, which has long been monopolized by overseas enterprises, has seen a breakthrough in domestic production. Qifu New Materials, rooted in Shandong Gaoqing Chemical Industry Park, has successfully entered the supply chain of high-end semiconductor factories through continuous process iteration, reducing the metal ion precipitation content of electronic grade ultra pure meltable polytetrafluoroethylene products from 20ppb to below 10pppb. Its performance fully benchmarks international first-class standards.

The significance of technological breakthroughs
High end fluorine-containing materials are essential supporting materials for integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and new energy industries, and are compared to the "industrial blood vessels" of wafer factories in the industry. The transportation of highly corrosive chemicals in the wafer manufacturing process requires almost strict requirements for material cleanliness and corrosion resistance - even trace metal impurities can cause the entire wafer to be scrapped. Previously, this high-end market has long been monopolized by overseas companies, becoming a key weakness that restricts the independent and controllable development of China's semiconductor industry chain.
Industrialization progress
Qifu New Materials will land in Gaoqing in June 2022, targeting three core categories: fluoropolymers, special cooling fluids, and special gases. The first phase of the project (with a total investment of 950 million yuan) will be put into operation in September 2024, and stable profits will be achieved in May this year. In the first half of the year, the output value will be over 400 million yuan, basically equaling the total output of last year. The product sales are expected to increase 5-6 times year-on-year and have already opened up overseas markets such as the Middle East and India.
Phase II layout
The main body of the second phase project with a total investment of 1.03 billion yuan has been capped and will be put into operation within the year, focusing on two high-end tracks:
Perfluoroether rubber: one of the five key consumables for integrated circuits, used for sealing rings in semiconductor equipment, with a single price of up to 10000 yuan, relying on imports for a long time
Fluorine containing heat exchange fluid: adapted to the liquid cooling needs of data centers and AI computing centers, and positioned in the new digital economy track
industry-driven
Relying on the platform of Gaoqing Chemical Industry Park, Qifu New Materials and chain leading enterprises such as Feiyuan Chemical have formed a complete industrial chain from basic fluorine raw materials to electronic specialty gases and high-end fluorine-containing polymers. During the "Tenth Five Year Plan" period, the enterprise plans to invest more than 3 billion yuan in fixed assets investment, focus on about 10 types of integrated circuit core materials, and aim to build a world-class enterprise of fluorosilicon electronic materials.
