Layout of lithium fluoride battery materials! The world's largest fluorite producer has obtained fluoropolymer technology license
It is reported that Koura owns and operates the largest fluorite mine in the world, and cooperates with industry partners and researchers to develop and manufacture various advanced fluoride materials, including electrolyte salts, adhesives and high-performance electrolyte additives for lithium ion batteries. In view of Koura's unique vertical integration position of "from fluorite mine to downstream market" in the fluorine value chain, and its expertise in fluorine technology, Koura is developing the next generation of fluoropolymers, which can improve safety, performance and sustainability, while ensuring the supply chain of lithium-ion batteries in North America, Europe and other key markets.
Gregg Smith, president of Koura Company, said, "Our energy materials strategy is very clear: we will invest in solutions that will enable the world to quickly transition to renewable energy. We are pleased to be able to authorize and promote the scale of this technology and bring key fluoropolymer solutions to the market."
In the past few years, PrimeStar Technologies has established a series of fluoropolymer technology systems. Dr. Joshua Levy, Chief Technology Officer of PrimeStar, said, "Our company has a professional team composed of chemists and engineers with rich experience in this field, and is capable of providing process technology for a variety of fluoropolymer combinations."
It is worth noting that not long ago, Koura, Foosung Co. Ltd. and K ę dzierzyn-Ko ź Le, Poland) signed a tripartite letter of intent to develop a new production plant in the region to meet the growing demand for inorganic fluorine compounds used in the production of lithium ion batteries in Europe. Ben Gook Hur, CEO of Foosung, said: "Foosung is deploying advanced technologies of fluorine materials and will make use of the advantages of Orbita in upstream fluorine intermediates to ensure a strong supply chain for lithium ion battery production in Europe."
