On November 16, the Intelligent Manufacturing New City Branch of Quzhou Ecological Environment Bureau accepted the environmental impact report of the 14000 t/a lithium battery material project of Shanshan New Materials (Quzhou) Co., Ltd. and announced it.

According to the EIA report, Shanshan New Materials (Quzhou) Co., Ltd. plans to invest 634.4568 million yuan to build a new 14000 t/a lithium battery material project in Quzhou Intelligent Manufacturing New City. The construction mainly includes 53.496 mu of land reserved in the plant area and the new East District Power Center II, East District Transformer and Distribution Station, Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Workshop IV, Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Workshop V, HF/HCL tank farm, centralized tail gas treatment device and other facilities in the new high-tech area, The annual production capacity of 14000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate workshop will be formed, and 58880 tons of mixed acid will be produced annually.

According to Tianyan, Shanshan New Materials (Quzhou) Co., Ltd., formerly known as Zhejiang Juhua Kailan New Materials Co., Ltd., is jointly held by Ningbo Yonglu Investment Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Juhua Co., Ltd. and Luoyang Senlan Chemical Materials Technology Co., Ltd., of which Ningbo Yonglu Investment Co., Ltd. (the grandson of Shanshan Co., Ltd.) and Zhejiang Juhua Co., Ltd. hold about 82.25% and 15.90% respectively.

Shanshan New Materials (Quzhou) Co., Ltd., founded in 2013, is an enterprise specializing in the production of lithium battery materials. The enterprise now has the "1000 ton/year lithium hexafluorophosphate project" and the "50000 ton/year lithium battery materials and supporting projects", of which the "1000 ton/year lithium hexafluorophosphate project" is constructed in three phases. The first phase of the project (300 ton/year lithium hexafluorophosphate) has actually been completed and passed the three simultaneous acceptance, but the equipment has been removed, The second phase (with an annual output of 300 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate) and the third phase (with an annual output of 400 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate) have not been constructed, and the enterprise promises not to construct them. The "50000 ton/year lithium battery materials and supporting projects" will be constructed in two phases. At present, the first phase (with an annual output of 20000 tons of electrolyte and 2000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate) has been completed and passed the three simultaneous acceptance. The second phase (with an annual output of 30000 tons of electrolyte and 4000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate) is under construction.
