Training on new corrosion protection technology was successfully held in Changzhou
From November 21 to 25, the 2022 New Corrosion Protection Technology Training held by the Training Center of CNOOC Changzhou Paint Chemical Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Changzhou Institute) Science and Technology Service Branch was held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. In this training, all the work of epidemic prevention and control was done well in a high standard and normal way, and the "online+offline" financial media mode was adopted. Centering on the development status and industry prospects of new corrosion protection technologies, the trainees had a deep understanding of the new corrosion protection technologies, Changzhou Institute's intelligent production, scientific research and development, quality inspection and other key business sectors in the form of theoretical teaching, interactive salons, and industrial visits.

On the first three days of the training, the trainees learned online courses using the "Paint Industry Online" APP independently developed by Changzhou Institute. On the 24th, offline courses were held in Changzhou Institute as scheduled, and Wang Chen, Deputy General Manager and Safety Director of the Company, delivered a speech on behalf of Changzhou Institute. The course in the morning focused on such technical topics as electrochemical corrosion thermodynamics, electrochemical measurement technology, corrosion resistant materials, corrosion test and control, and was taught by Jin Xihe, deputy director of the Institute of Coatings and Protection Engineering, and Fang Jianjun, deputy manager of the Environmental Protection Coatings Company, so that the students could understand the cutting-edge progress and industrial advantages of Changzhou Institute in the field of new corrosion protection technologies. In the afternoon, Di Zhigang, the chief engineer of Changzhou Institute, Zhu Dong, the deputy chief engineer, Ma Shengjun, an expert of Haifa, and Liu Baocheng, an expert of anti-corrosion technology, as well as several R&D backbones and students of the coastal defense center, held a special salon and interactive Q&A. After that, the students carried out group discussion and special report on what they learned.




On the 25th, the students went to the environmental paint company for field teaching. In the exhibition hall, Gao Yang, Chairman and Secretary of the CPC Committee of Changzhou Academy, introduced the long history and technology research and development capabilities of Changzhou Academy to the students. As a key demonstration project at the level of the group company, "Intelligent Factory for Anticorrosive Coatings", it is the first time to realize intelligent, automatic and digital production and manufacturing integrating batch lines, flexible lines and filling lines in the domestic coating production industry. Its scientific and technological content and practical revenue prospects have opened the eyes of students and won unanimous praise from students.
Later, the trainees visited Guohengxin (Changzhou) Testing and Certification Technology Co., Ltd., and under the guidance and explanation of Su Chunhai, the manager, they learned about the business sector in the field of coating quality testing. In the key laboratory of corrosion protection, we witnessed the good effect of the anti-corrosion reagent developed by Changzhou Institute to remove rust spots in a short time. The students showed great interest in this and had a practical experience.


The new corrosion technology is an important aspect of the intrinsic safety of equipment and facilities. This training, through technical innovation and application, moved the "post treatment" forward to "pre prevention", which is the key to eliminate hidden dangers and reduce risks, and is also the value of corrosion control technology in safe production. The five-day training has improved the professional and technical abilities of the students, and also made the brand reputation and scientific and technological strengths of Changzhou Institute, a scientific research unit with deep technical background, known to people.
