The investment area of the second-phase production project is about 1.16 hectares, and the annual capacity standard is designed to be 4750 tons. The whole Phase II project was officially completed on March 18, 2022. The first tank of BYKETOL-OK surface additive was suitable for the automobile coating and industrial coating industry from the new production line on July 8, 2022.

It is reported that with the official launch of the second phase of the production project, the production capacity of BYK Chemical in China has greatly expanded, including the rich and complete product series of defoamers/defoamers, surface aids, etc., which will enter the "mass production era" in the Shanghai base. These additives are widely used in automotive coatings, industrial coatings, furniture coatings, architectural coatings, printing inks, adhesives, thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics and other application fields. The products cover solvent-based, solvent-free, low polarity, high polarity and other systems.
